So somehow or another I got back to Eve and discovered the noble exchange whatsis thingie and the dreadful clothes for sale in there.
Eve peeps - if you want us to spend plex on new clothes, give us what we really want.
Some suggestions:
1. Cool hats. I'm talking like Snoopy hats with goggles. Or those wool caps like the kids are wearing with bunny ears or cat whiskers. Or tiaras for the girls. Fedoras like Indiana Jones. A fez. Fezzes are cool. A floppy hat with a feather. CRASH HELMETS! What better way to express one's individuality?
2. Cooler clothes. I would give every last aurum I had and then some for a "Firefly"-ish brown coat and I bet there's a crapload of other capsuleers who would, too, because this game has a disproportionate number of "Firefly" fans and brown coats are not copyrighted.
3. Guns. Come on. We're capsuleers. We're going to be packing, especially when walking in stations gets more in gear. (more on that in a moment). Give us some Han Solo-ish blasters and swords to hang from our belts.
4. Dresses. For the ladies. I know there's got to be some women playing Eve. Somewhere. Give 'em some little black dresses.
5. Eye patches. Do I really have to explain this? Eye patches are way cooler than monocles, any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Yarr.
6. Bionic hands. If they're good enough for Luke Skywalker, they're good enough for us!
7. Gloves. Fingerless gloves.
8. Quafe T-shirts. We all want them.
I'm sure there's a bunch of other ideas people could throw in, but you folks at EVE aren't doing it quite right. Humans are always going to be whimsical. Eve should reflect that more.
Also, Captain's quarters - would have gone over a LOT better if there'd been an exotic dancer in there, to smooth the transition. :)

Maybe a military looking uniform that actually LOOKS like a military UNIFORM. Instead of that weird looking grey "thing" they have now.
Crash helmets, yeah. To prevent the brain damage that comes with having your T3 shot out from under you. Ow.
But yeah, uniforms with maybe military berets too.
My basic point is that the available stuff in the store lacks imagination.
The First Rule of Flying:
Love. You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' before she keens. Makes her a home. |
